Shaquila Mathews

Sha'Quila M. Mathews is a native of Cincinnati, OH, where she attended Hamilton High. While in Jr. High, Shaquila took a Current Events class, and from there her love and interest grew to always stay up-to-date on events that where going on in the community where she lived and abroad. Later, God called her to the ministry after almost being tragically killed in a head on collision on October 24, 1997, that changed her life forever. Sha’Quila became heavily involved with the Youth in her local church where she taught Sunday school and also was over the Step Team. Because of Sha’Quila’s love for current events and news, she always had the Youth very active and involved in the community. From there Sha’Quila’s love for Gospel Entertainment grew and from that she always believed that “Just because you’re a Christian, you don’t have to lead a dull boring life and have to compromise just to have fun.” God further called Sha’Quila and her husband into the ministry by starting Greater Joy Church located in Indianapolis, IN. After seeing all of the great information and advertisement that DetroitGospel.com had to offer their city, she knew that Indianapolis needed the same.
