An Interview with "Sunday Best" Winner Crystal Aikin

Sha’Quila: So how has the tour been with Mary Mary - coming from being judged by them, to being among them?

Crystal Aikin: Wow! Great! Awesome! What an experience. What can I say?!

Sha’Quila: What keeps you grounded?

Crystal Aikin: My mother, church, and friends -- they keep it real with me.

Sha’Quila: Tell us a little more about Crystal Aikin the worshipper, because it seems that every time we saw you on Sunday Best, week after week, you were ministering to us?

Crystal Aikin: It was birthed out of me by willing to live a holy life, set apart. And yes, it was television, but it was always about ministry.

Sha’Quila: What was the inspiration behind the song, “A Song about Jesus?”

Crystal Aikin: Everything that we do should reflect Christ, our music our lifestyle, in everything that we do.

Sha’Quila: I know that you are enjoying the success of this album, but what are your goals for your next album?

Crystal Aikin: To write more, and to let people know more about me.

Sha’Quila: The drawing that you have with the young people, what would be some encouraging word to them?

Crystal Aikin: Be true to yourself, and don’t let anything but God influence you.

Sha’Quila: In one word describe Crystal Aikin.

Crystal Aikin: Integrity.
