IndyGospel.com's Sha’Quila Mathews took a moment with one of Indianapolis' premier gospel rap artists, Nue Breed, to talk about the success of his first album as a solo artist in ministry.
SHOWHIMWUTCHUDOINWIDIT - LIVE @ DA ALBUM RELEASE PARTY
Sha’Quila: How long have you been rapping?
Nue Breed: I have been rapping for eleven years, but seriously for two.
Sha’Quila asked Nue Breed a controversial question concerning gospel rappers using secular beats.
Nue Breed: God has given us originality and creativity through prayer and relationship, so I feel you don’t have to use secular beats.
Sha’Quila: Tell us something that we may not know about Nue Breed?
Nue Breed: I am a worshipper and I love artists such as Clint Brown, etc. - people who really worship.
Sha’Quila: So when can we anticipate another album?
Nue Breed: I am currently in the lab now, and it will be around 2010.
Sha’Quila: What is the inspiration behind the new album?
Nue Breed: An intimate relation with God. That is the drive behind it.
Sha’Quila: What is the next move for Nue Breed and your ministry?
Nue Breed: Thinking global, and taking the ministry worldwide.
Sha’Quila: Who is in Nue Breed's playlist right now?
Nue Breed: KDrama, Clint Brown, D-Maub.
Sha’Quila: Thank you so much for your time and the opportunity to sit down and talk with you.
Nue Breed: No, thank you for the interest and the opportunity for me to share.
